Four apps. One for both of you.
A shared calendar, grocery list, reminders and bill splitter, on both your phones.

Okto is a free iPhone and Android app that gives a couple one shared calendar, shared grocery and to-do lists, and shared expenses with a running balance. Both partners see the same Home screen, updated live, so plans, shopping and money stop living in four different apps and a group chat.
Instead of
- a calendar app
- a notes app for groceries
- texts that say "did you…?"
- a spreadsheet of who paid
One Home screen, the same on both phones.
The whole day in one glance
Okto opens on Home: what is next on the calendar, what you need from the store, what is due today and where you stand on money. It is the screen you check before you text.
- Next event with the time, place and who is going
- Groceries left to buy, with a little icon for each item
- To-dos due today, and whose they are
- Your balance in one line: "You owe Jake $66.28"

One calendar you both actually read
A month view you can scan in a second, the day agenda one tap away. Filter to just your plans or just your partner's, and add an event for the two of you without asking twice.
- Month view with every plan of the household
- Everyone, Jake or Emma: filter by person
- Places, reminders and repeats (every week, every month…)
- Two-way sync with the calendars on your phone (Google, iCloud) with Okto Plus

Groceries and to-dos, checked off together
One shared grocery list that fills itself from both phones, and reminders you can hand to each other. Tick an item at the store and it disappears from your partner's list too.
- A shared grocery list with an icon for every item
- Reminders with a date, a time and who it is for
- Today, Scheduled, All and Assigned to me
- Lists of your own: a weekend away, home projects, gifts

Fair money, without the spreadsheet
Add what you paid in a few seconds and Okto keeps the balance. Split 50/50, by amounts, or by percentages when one of you earns more. Most couples never transfer money: they see the balance and pay the next dinner.
- Split equally, by amounts or by percentages (55/45)
- Always know who is ahead, in one line
- Monthly stats of what you spend together
- Rent, internet and subscriptions repeat by themselves with Okto Plus

Your iPhone, their Android. Same household.
- Live on both phones
- Add milk on one phone, it shows on the other a second later.
- Works offline
- The list is on your phone, even in a store with no signal.
- No ads, ever
- Okto is paid for by Okto Plus, not by your data.
- Private by design
- Only the two of you see your household. Data hosted in the EU.
Free for the two of you. Plus when you want more.
One subscription covers the whole household: if one of you subscribes, you both get Okto Plus. Okto is free during the beta.

Questions, answered
What is the best app for couples to share a calendar, groceries and expenses?
Okto is built for exactly that: one app with a shared calendar, shared grocery and to-do lists, and shared expenses with a balance, all summarised on one Home screen both partners see. Most couples otherwise combine a calendar app, a list app and a bill-splitting app.
Does Okto work if one of us has an iPhone and the other an Android phone?
Yes. Okto runs on iPhone and Android and both phones see the same calendar, lists and expenses, updated live.
Is Okto free?
Okto is free to download and use. Okto Plus adds two-way calendar sync, repeating expenses and to-dos, and monthly stats for $4.99 a month or $34.99 a year, with a 14-day free trial, and one subscription covers both of you.
Does Okto work offline?
Yes. Each phone keeps a copy of your household, so you can check the grocery list in a store with no signal. Changes sync as soon as you are back online.
Does Okto move money or connect to my bank?
No. Okto is not a bank and never moves money. It records what each of you paid and shows the balance; you settle up however you like, or simply pay the next thing.
Is my data private?
Okto has no ads and sells no data. Your household is visible only to its members, and the data is hosted in the European Union.
Run your home like a team.
Download Okto on both phones, invite your partner with a link, and your calendar, lists and money are shared in a minute.
